Laura has worked as a therapist in both outpatient, as well as community based settings. She practices both individual and family counseling. She has four adopted children, having been a foster parent and has extensive experience working with families who are coping with issues regarding foster care and adoption. Additionally, she has experience working with children who have severe emotional/behavioral disturbances and their families as they cope with this stressor. Laura has specialized training in marital counseling to help couples make the most of their marriage. She also provides counseling to survivors of divorce when that is not an option. She has worked with both perpetrators and survivors of sexual abuse. Laura is a licensed clinical psychotherapist with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University where she graduated in 1997. Her bachelor’s degrees are in Business Administration and Psychology from Wichita State University in 1991 and 1995 respectively. She earned her PhD in Community Psychology from Wichita State University in 2008.
