
Addie McDowell
Addie McDowell received her Master of Social Work degree from Wichita State University. She is a Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker, and she is under clinical supervision.
Much of Addie’s background is in early childhood, and she has spent much time working with young people on developing social-emotional skills including emotional regulation, self management, and building relationships with others. She has worked with teenagers with serious emotional disturbance, mental health disorders, and difficulties with sexual orientation and gender identity. Addie has done behavior therapy for children on the autism spectrum and has extensive experience with this population. During her master’s, Addie also worked with adults in an inpatient psychiatric setting doing group therapy with a variety of diagnoses.
Currently, Addie does therapy with any person 5 years and older regardless of gender, sexuality, race, and other personal identification factors.
