Karin is a Licensed Professional Counselor working toward her clinical licensure to become an LCPC. She is compassionate and driven by a strong personal connection to mental health struggles and a genuine desire to help others. The daughter and granddaughter of psychiatrists, Karin has a deep sense of empathy and a keen understanding of the importance of mental health support.

After working for more than 25 years in fundraising and event management for nonprofit and educational organizations, Karin returned to school to pursue a Master’s in Education in Counseling and graduated from Wichita State University in May 2023. She is thrilled to be returning to New Perspectives after working alongside several dedicated NP professionals during her counseling internship. In her practice, Karin seeks to channel her unique perspective and life experiences to assist others on their paths to healing.

Karin uses an eclectic counseling approach that incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities. By collaborating with clients in a non-judgmental and empathic manner, she creates a safe space where clients are able to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, fostering self-acceptance and self-empowerment. Karin believes that everyone possesses the innate capacity for personal growth and she guides clients to tap into their own strengths and resources. This strengths-based approach allows individuals to focus on their inherent capabilities and resources, fostering a sense of agency and resilience. With a warm demeanor and a genuine interest in building relationships, Karin tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each client.

Karin welcomes a diversity of clients ranging from teens to mature adults. She and her goldendoodle, Cedar, an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen and frequent visitor to NP, look forward to working with individuals, couples and families as a counseling team.

Outside of her counseling practice, Karin enjoys walking her dogs, playing tennis, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
