Kay is a graduate of Friends University in Wichita, KS. She has a BA in Psychology and Social Work and a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. She did 8000 extra internship hours in abuse issues (sexual abuse and domestic abuse). She worked and obtained her drug and alcohol degree while in Wyoming. She is licensed in Kansas as a Marriage and Family Therapist and as a Licensed Master Addiction Counselor. She also has a Psy. D. in Christian Counseling.

Kay has worked for DOC and the Federal Government in Wyoming doing drug and alcohol assessments and making recommendations to the courts. She has worked as a mental health counselor in private practice and in state facilities for the last 22 years. She works with all segments of the mental health population and substance abuse population. Kay worked with Hospice and did grief therapy through St. Catherina’s Hospital in Garden City and in a private owned Hospice in Wyoming.
