Kellie Drinkwater is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She graduated from UC Berkeley in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and from Walden University in 2021 with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Crisis and Trauma.

Since 2000, Kellie has provided extensive mental health services to individuals in a variety of settings (home, community, respite, residential, and involuntary) and through several roles (counselor/advocate, case manager, foster care licensing specialist, state-wide care coordinator, case management supervisor, and waivered therapist).  She has experience working with individuals who have a variety of mental health challenges, including depression and bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse challenges, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, and life stressors.

Kellie enjoys working with people ages 5 and up, couples, and families. She uses a variety of treatment modalities, depending upon the client’s needs and preferences. Regardless of modality, Kellie strives to truly understand her clients, individually and contextually. Her goal is to provide a compassionate, effective, and individualized therapeutic experience resulting in increased empowerment and well-being for her clients.

Kellie offers a non-judgmental and person-centered approach, a casual therapy environment, and accessible appointment times, including same-day and evening appointments.
