Monica Turner: MS, LMSW
With over 17 years work experience in social service, Monica was led to complete a 2nd Master’s Degree in Social Work from Newman University. Prior to graduating from Newman University, Monica completed one year at Friends University in Marriage and Family Therapy and later received her License as a Master Level Social Worker(LMSW) from Newman University.
Monica enjoys working with everyone. She has been fortunate to have worked with individuals of all ages, including young children, adolescents, young adults, single parents, adults and senior citizens. Her passion is in the art of connecting with and helping hurting people. She was fortunate to care for my elder in-laws with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. That personal experience, along with her education has equipped her to make a difference in families lives who are facing similar circumstances. Her training includes but is not limited to Trauma Inform Care & Crisis Intervention.
Monica’s practice is unique, and is designed to meet the specificity of the individuals she serve. Her practice is tailored to meet her clients where they are, and her non judgmental approach has proven successful in helping her clients of all backgrounds feel comfortable in sharing with her.
